The Top Ceram® RAK 100 coating protects microporous surfaces from contamination. A strong SiO2-barrier coating prevents fixation of dirt particles, paint, oil, scale or joint mortar in the micropores of the polished surface. Contaminants can be simply removed with an appropriate cleaning agent or solution. The ability of the surface to breath is retained, despite the high quality protection . The coating is extremely robust because of its inorganic network. SiO2-coatings for microporous surfaces are ready-to-use and can be applied directly to the surface, creating a layer a few nanometres thick, very chemically and mechanically resistant.
