NANO Dry Lubricant is a highly engineered mixture of Dry Lube with CERFLON and NANO materials suspended in lubricating oil. NDT11D is a point-of-use dry lubricant specifically designed for the protection of critical to quality applications where metal surfaces are exposed to the environment. NDT11D has been engineered with NANO materials which, despite being in the solid phase, are able to reduce friction between two surfaces sliding against each other, without the need for a liquid medium. Galvanic Corrosion: Connecting dissimilar metals in an electrolyte creates a direct current (DC) “battery” and the scientific explanation as to why galvanic corrosion occurs has to do with things like migrating electrons and electrical potential. Function and Application: NANO Dry Lubricants are solid materials that provide low-frictional resistance between surfaces when applied directly to interacting surfaces. NDT11D NANO Dry Lubricant prevents corrosion and minimizes resistance between sliding surfaces. NANO Dry Lubricant is useful for conditions when conventional lubricants are inadequate, such as: Reciprocating Motion A typical application is a sliding or reciprocating motion that requires lubrication to minimize wear, for example, in gear and chain lubrication. Liquid lubricants will squeeze out, while solid lubricants do not escape, preventing fretting, corrosion and galling. Ceramics Another application is for cases where chemically active lubricant additives have not been found for a particular surface, such as polymers and ceramics. High Temperature A typical application includes fasteners which are easily tightened and unscrewed after a long stay at high temperatures. Extreme Contact Pressures The lamellar structure orient parallel to the sliding surface, resulting in high -bearing load, combined with a low shear stress. Most applications in metal forming that involve plastic deformation will utilize solid lubricants.
