Nano-technology allows Performance Rx to protect fabric at a molecular level without coating or changing the look or feel of the fabric. How It Works Molecular structures, known as "nano-whiskers", are attached to the tiny fabric fibers. The nano-whiskers are 1/1000 the size of a cotton fiber. Most liquids are unable to penetrate the microscopic whiskers and just roll off the fabric without a trace. This nano-technology permanently alters the performance of the fabric without diminishing the feel, natural breathability, or comfort of the fabric. And since the fabric is permanently changed, not coated, its features can never be washed out or faded. "
