National Nanotechnology Initiative releases draft of new strategic plan
The NNI Strategic Plan is released every three years
WASHINGTON—On November 1, 2010, a draft of the National Nanotechnology Initiative was posted at strategy.nano.gov for public comment. Public comments (4,000 characters or less) are invited until 11:59 p.m. EST on November 30, 2010, at the Strategy Portal as a registered community member or via email to nnistrategy@ostp.gov. All comments may be made available for public inspection; do not include in your comments information of a confidential nature.
The NNI Strategic Plan is the framework that underpins the nanotechnology work of 25 NNI member agencies. It aims to ensure that advances in nanotechnology R&D and their applications to agency missions and the broader national interest continue unabated in this still-young area of research and development. Its purpose is to facilitate achievement of the NNI vision by laying out guidance for agency leaders, program managers, and the research community regarding planning and implementation of nanotechnology R&D investments and activities.
